National Read a Book Day

Sep 5, 2025

Tomorrow, September 6, is National Read a Book Day!

This annual holiday celebrates the simple pleasure of reading a book, whether it be a perusing a paperback, hunkering down with a hardcover, listening to an awesome audiobook, or escaping into an e-book on your favorite digital device. With all of these options, why not celebrate by visiting your nearest Wyoming library either in person or virtually to find and check out your next great read?

Locate your nearest Wyoming library using the Wyoming State Library’s library directory. Or, if an ebook or digital audiobook is more your style, check one out or stream one on one of  GoWYLD’s virtual libraries.

However you like to consume your reading material, you are sure to find a new favorite among all of the wonderful resources our Wyoming libraries have to offer. Happy (almost!) National Read a Book Day and happy reading!
