Several messages in writing from the President of the United States were communicated to the House of Representatives in 1890 (as noted on page 7166 of the Congressional Record Vol. 21, Part 8) that the President had approved and signed acts decommissioning of Forts Bridger, Fetterman, Laramie and Steele.
