Eighteen Sheridan County teens enjoyed creating beautiful and unique works of art at the library’s Planet Paint Pour program on June 17. During this session, teens learned how to blend paint for paint pouring and experimented with various techniques to achieve different outcomes.
“It’s amazing to witness teens using their creativity to learn and grow,” said Zola Shockley, Youth Services Manager at the Sheridan County Public Library System. Many return to showcase the projects they’ve worked on at home after attending our library programs!”
The event was part of their Courageous Craft Club. The club is designed for young adults aged 11-18 and is hosted every Wednesday and Saturday at 3 p.m. throughout the summer. The aim of the Courageous Craft Club is to introduce teenagers to new crafting techniques that they can continue exploring beyond the program.
The SCPLS has locations in Sheridan, Clearmont, Story, and Tongue River. Each location hosts many programs for patrons of all ages. Find out more about their upcoming events on their webpage.
