Pandemic Preparedness from the ALA

The COVID-19 pandemic raises many practical questions for libraries. What should be in your library policies? How do you disinfect work surfaces and circulating materials? And how do library workers manage stress and anxiety through all of this?

The American Library Association offers an excellent Pandemic Preparedness page for libraries. While there are many resource lists out there, the ALA list is a good sorce the nuts and bolts of what you need to do in your library through this crisis. On their page, you’ll find:

The ALA’s page is one of the resources on the Wyoming State Library’s Guide to COVID-19 for Libraries. The WSL guide also includes information sources about the virus, in case you’re fielding reference questions and need quality information to give to patrons, and Wyoming-specific resources.
