Park County Hosts Community Scam and Fraud Awareness Event

Mar 5, 2024

Just in time for National Consumer Protection Week, which is March 3-9 this year, the Park County Library hosted scam and fraud awareness events at both their Cody and Powell locations.  Training was provided by many community organizations, including:

  • the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation,
  • the Park County Sheriff’s Office,
  • the Powell Police Department,
  • the Cody Police Department,
  • the Wyoming Department of Family Services,
  • Northwest College Center for Training and Development,
  • the Cody Cupboard,
  • and the Park County Library System.

Training from the various community partners addressed current community crime trends and provided information about financial scams and how community members can prevent themselves from becoming victims of these crimes.
