Janet Boss has retired from her position as Librarian at Slade Elementary School. Before earning her certification and moving into school libraries, Janet was the Children’s Librarian at Albany County Public Library where she initiated the Book Babies program.

Mendocino Ellis, who prefers to be called “Miss Mendo,” is the new Children’s Librarian at the Weston County Library in Newcastle. A native of Texas, Miss Mendo moved to Newcastle about five years ago from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was an avid reader growing up who saw the library as a safe haven, and she hopes to create those types of positive experiences for the library’s youngest patrons. |
