Debbie McCarthy (right) and Dee Salo (left) recently retired from University of Wyoming Libraries. Debbie was Assistant Dean of Resource Discovery and Management, She has had a remarkable career in academic libraries that spans back to 1988. Joining UW Libraries in 2004 as the Head of Technical Services, she later assumed the role of Assistant Dean, Resource Discovery and Management in 2018. Her retirement date was the 20th anniversary of her start date with UW Libraries. Dee was Manager, Interlibrary Loan. She began her journey with UW Libraries in August 1982, starting in Processing before transitioning to Serials and, later, Acquisitions, managing invoice payments. In 1989, Dee moved to Interlibrary Loan (ILL). She has worked in all aspects of ILL — in both the lending and borrowing sides. She then moved into a Library Specialist role and took the helm as Manager of Interlibrary Loan in February 2018. Her remarkable dedication spans an impressive 41 years of service. Kathy LeCheminant is the new Children’s Specialist at Sublette County Library in Pinedale Library. She helped install a new story in the Story Stroll in Boyd Skinner Park. The story, “I Am Human: A Book of Empathy” by Susan Verde is a colorfully and warmly illustrated book for young children, which affirms that we can make good choices by acting with compassion and having empathy for others and ourselves. Maura Williams is the new Programming Specialist at Sublette County Library. Maura is a Pinedale local who is already well-loved by the community, and patrons are excited to see her at the library. Her background is in education, and she brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping people to the position. She works with adults and children, helps manage meeting room spaces, and assists with meeting room technology. She collaborates with the programming team to support and plan for adult and children’s programming. “The library is blessed to have her on our team,” said Michelle Humber, Library Executive Director.

Michelle Humber, Executive Director of Sublette County Library, has been moonlighting as Marian the Librarian in the local community theater’s production of The Music Man. Here she is with her daughter, who was also in the production. The theater held four performances of the musical in the latter half of October. Kassia Capozzoli has been named Youth Services Manager at the White Mountain Library. Kassia has worked for the library system in youth services for the past two years and has more than twenty years of experience working with children. She started her new role on November 1. Kassia emphasized that community is important to her. “I arrived in Wyoming as a teenager and have rooted myself deeply,” she said. “I am a graduate of RSHS and the University of Wyoming. My husband, a native, and I are raising two boys. Rock Springs has been great to us and I look forward to giving back through the library system.” Katrina Haines has joined the Goshen County Library as a Circulation Clerk. Her hobbies include sewing, historical clothing, reading (mostly fantasy), playing Dungeons and Dragons and playing with her tiny dog.
