A meticulous young patron concentrates on snapping Lego bricks together to create the build he’s envisioned in his mind.

The Sheridan County Public Library System hosted “Free Build Friday” last week and invited children of all ages to drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to unleash their creativity and craft Lego masterpieces.

An excited young library patron cheers about getting to build with Duplo blocks with his caregiver.

“It’s a great chance for them to team up with other kids and let those creative juices flow,” said Zola Shockley, Youth Services Manager at the SCPLS. “All age groups are encouraged to participate, and Duplo blocks are provided for our younger visitors.”

The SCPLS has locations in Sheridan, Clearmont, Story, and Tongue River. Each location hosts many programs for patrons of all ages. Find out more about their upcoming events on their webpage.
