Teachers and School Librarians are invited to obtain nominations from your students for the 2026-2027 Wyoming Book Awards! The submission deadline is March 1, 2026.
Award guidelines vary for each category. Click each category title for its nomination form:

The book may be fiction or nonfiction, including poetry.

The book must currently be in print and have a copyright date within the last five years.
- The book may be a picture book, easy-to-read book, a high interest-low vocabulary book, or an appropriate grade level chapter book.
- The book must not have appeared first as a movie or TV show.
- Books cannot be on the list two consecutive years.
- An author may have only one book on the award list.
- Books may be fiction or nonfiction, and in any format (e.g. novel in verse, graphic novel).
- Each book must have been published within the last five years to be considered for nomination.
- Books must be in print at the time of nomination.
- Books must be nominated by Wyoming students in grades 4-6.
- Only one title per author will be included on the nominations list.
- No author can be on the list for two consecutive years.
- No title can be on the nomination list more than once.
- The book may be fiction or nonfiction.
- The book must currently be in print and have a copyright date within the last five years.
- Adult books may be nominated.
- The book must not have appeared first as a movie or TV show.
