Are you ready to break the mold, share your wildest ideas, and show off what you bring to the table? Proposals are currently being accepted for The Collective 2025: Doowutchyalike to be held April 15-17, 2025 at MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. (The theme, Doowutchyalike is inspired by Digital Underground’s classic track.)
The Collective 2025 will be ditching the norms, throwing out the same-old-same-old, and making room for YOU. They’re calling all library workers, mavericks, risk-takers, and anyone with a library-adjacent or totally non-library talent, skill, or passion they’ve been itching to share. Maybe it’s time to demo your quirky productivity hack, share that “out there” tech idea, or finally teach others that skill you’ve mastered on the side!
Here are some ideas to spark your creativity:
-Have a rad non-library skill? Maybe you can teach us all how to do something awesome outside of the library world! (Can anyone say “Librarians that Breakdance”? Just kidding…unless?)
-Got a big idea that doesn’t fit into a typical session? This is the place to make it happen. From out-there technology concepts to fresh programming approaches—go wild!
-Library-adjacent? Share what you do to keep your creativity alive. Ever tried something unexpected that sparked a lightbulb moment in your library work? Conference participants want to hear about it!
Sessions can be creative, collaborative, and totally your style. This year’s theme, *D**oowutchyalike*, is a call to break out of the ordinary and showcase YOUR unique contributions to the library universe (and beyond!).
