Cori Hundley will be leaving the Wyoming State Library later this month after serving as the WSL’s Systems Librarian for the past three-and-a-half years. She will be moving to Ohio to work for OhioNet, one of two major library consortiums in the state, and is looking forward to being closer her parents and other family members.
“I’m looking forward to exploring my home state from a different point of view,” said Cori, who is originally from Ohio, but spent childhood summers visiting her grandparents who lived in Wyoming. “I miss the trees in the fall, the unique nature of Ohio, and can’t wait to experience another good midwestern thunderstorm!”
Cori has been a part of the Wyoming library community for the past eight-and-a-half years, serving for five years at the library at Central Wyoming College in Lander and the rest of her time in Wyoming at the WSL. She is thankful to everyone she has had the pleasure of working with and wishes she could take the people and camaraderie she’s experienced in Wyoming to Ohio with her.
“It’s been great,” said Cori. “I’m so thankful to everyone. I won’t be in Wyoming anymore, but Wyoming will always be with me.”
In her new position in Ohio, Cori will get to use a lot of the knowledge and skills she has learned and used as the WSL’s Systems Librarian, including her experience with Aspen, SirsiDynix, and other systems.
“I love puzzles,” said Cori. “Being the Systems Librarian has allowed me to use my strengths to find solutions to problems. I’ve enjoyed getting to help the helpers by assisting librarians who in turn help their patrons. I’ve learned and grown so much in my time at the WSL. I’m forever grateful to my great coworkers in the WSL’s WYLD Office.”
Cori’s last day at the WSL will be January 15. She will be missed by the entire WSL staff, but especially by the WYLD Office team.
