Feb 3, 2022

Stack of wooden blocks read, "Equity, Diversity, Inclusion"The Wyoming Library Association’s EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee invites Wyoming library workers to their next Open Conversation on February 15 at 4:00 p.m. All library staff are welcome to attend.

The topic for this discussion will be Critical Race Theory — what it is and isn’t, and how it applies to libraries.  Members of the EDI Committee will facilitate the conversation.

Prior to joining on the 15th, please take about 30 minutes total to read a short article by Ibram X. Kendi and a brief overview in Britannica Library provided to Wyoming residents through GoWYLD.net (if you’re at home, go to this page first to enter your library card information). Don’t have enough time to read these? Not a problem! The session will start with a brief video to get the conversation going.

Register here. Please note that Open Conversations will not be recorded.

The next Open Conversation is planned for March 15 at 4:00 p.m. Guidelines for these conversations are available online. Contact Conrrado Saldivar at conrrado.saldivar@wyo.gov with any questions.
