WLA LEAD Mentorship Participants Selected

The WLA LEAD Interest Group recently launched the Mentor Program 2024, which will run July through December, with 16 participants. This initiative aims to foster professional growth, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities. Mentors will offer guidance, support, and insights drawn from their experiences, aiding protégés in their career development and goal setting. Participants will benefit from personalized advice and expanded professional networks.

The program’s structure encourages mutual learning, allowing both mentors and protégés to gain fresh perspectives and stay updated on industry trends. Overall, this mentor program promises to be a transformative experience for all involved, promoting continuous learning and professional excellence.

The LEAD Committee is excited to announce this year’s participants:

  • Mentors: David Brown (UW), Katrina Brown (Goodstein College Library @ Casper College), Libby Ngo (Goodstein College Library @ Casper College), Holly Bauer (Laramie County Library), Court Schilt (Laramie County Library), Kellie Humphries (Natrona County Library), and Anita Marple (Fremont County Library).
  • Protégés: Alex Cook (Teton County Library), Linann McDonald (Natrona County Library) Trista Shier (Park County Library), Jessica Anders (Eastern Wyoming Community College), Sarah Neubauer (Natrona County Library), Becka Evans (Carbon County Library), and Breanne Theil (Park County Library).

“Mentorship is the key to unlock our hidden potential,” said Program Chair Lisa Scroggins. “It empowers us to achieve more than we ever thought possible.”
