WSL Job Opening: Systems Librarian

The Wyoming State Library seeks an experienced individual to serve as a Systems Librarian for the WYLD Network office in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The WYLD Network is a statewide, multi-type library consortium of more than 100 different member libraries.  The WYLD ILS is managed by the Wyoming State Library’s WYLD Office and is a SirsiDynix Platinum Support level hosted (Software as a Service). The WYLD Office supports multiple modules of the SirsiDynix Integrated Library System (Symphony WorkFlows) and hosted solutions from the vendor, including BLUEcloud Discovery (Enterprise); BLUEcloud Mobile; MobileStaff, BLUEcloud Analytics, and BLUEcloud Cataloging.

The Systems Librarian position will provide technical expertise, day-to-day administration, and broad support for library software solutions.  This position will use various technologies and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide the best possible experience for library patrons and staff using the WYLD library system.  This position reports directly to the WYLD Manager. It serves as a point of contact for member library staff with questions or concerns about all SirsiDynix software modules, emphasizing circulation and public access.  The Systems Librarian will work with the WYLD Support Team and vendor technical support to manage other platforms and related software.  This position will also be responsible for managing technical documentation and playing a pivotal role in training library staff on new and existing software programs. The systems librarian is required to be on-call for evening and weekend support on a rotating basis.
