Wyoming Library Leadership Institute Postponed Until Next Year

Apr 19, 2023

The Wyoming Library Leadership Institute committee has announced that this year’s retreat will be postponed until next year. Here is the committee’s statement on the decision:

“Part of being a leader is knowing when we have too much on our plate. We recognize that there has been a lot of turnover in our libraries this year. Additionally, intellectual freedom challenges have required much time and attention from many of our colleagues. This has affected our committee as well as many WLLI grads who now find their plates fuller than they once were. After much deliberation, the WLLI retreat planning committee has decided to press pause and delay the WLLI newbie retreat until next year. This was a difficult decision because we each desire to continue to support and develop leaders in our state and to share the experience we enjoyed and benefited from as attendees. We will continue working toward a retreat in 2024, and look forward to making it a wonderful experience for all who attend.”
