Wyoming State Library Will Hold Its Fifteenth Annual Wyoming Snapshot Day on October 7

Oct 6, 2025

The Wyoming State Library (WSL) will host its fifteenth annual Wyoming Snapshot Day on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. This virtual event highlights the important impact of Wyoming’s libraries by sharing photos, comments, and testimonials from library patrons and staff.

“Our theme this year is WYLD about Wyoming Libraries,” said Christi Weinzierl, Wyoming State Library Communication and Grants Specialist. “We invite all Wyoming libraries to participate in this year’s event and share all the reasons they love their library.”

The theme, WYLD about Wyoming Libraries, is a play on words, combining the acronym for the Wyoming Library Databases (WYLD) and the excitement Wyoming library patrons and staff have for the valuable resources and services over 100 public, academic, institutional, and special libraries across the state of Wyoming provide. All Wyoming libraries, regardless of their type, are welcome to participate in Wyoming Snapshot Day.

Libraries can sign up on the event’s website at wyomingsnapshotday.com or by contacting Christi Weinzierl at the Wyoming State Library, emailing christi.weinzierl1@wyo.gov, or calling (307) 777-5919. Wyoming residents who wish to participate should contact their nearest Wyoming library for details.

Photos, comments, and testimonials shared on Wyoming Snapshot Day will be utilized by the Wyoming State Library throughout the year to demonstrate the importance of Wyoming libraries to their stakeholders and the greater Wyoming community.

Wyoming Snapshot Day started in 2011 and is a project of the WSL in conjunction with the Wyoming Library Association. Wyoming Snapshot Day continues to showcase the positive impact Wyoming libraries have on their communities every single day.
