2014-15 Wyoming School Library Survey Results Released

Oct 15, 2015

The results of the 2014-15 Wyoming School Library Survey are now available on the Wyoming State Library’s statistics page.

Staff in 185 school libraries voluntarily provided data on measures that included collection budgets, technology, professional environment, and student use. Staffing and enrollment data was provided by the Wyoming Department of Education. These 185 schools served 61,818 students — two-thirds of the state’s total enrollment on Oct. 1, 2014.

The Wyoming State Library has conducted its School Library Survey annually beginning with the 2008-09 school year. This year’s report, and the prior two years, may be found at will.state.wy.us/statistics. Older reports may be found in the library statistics archive.

Questions about the Wyoming School Library Survey may be directed to Thomas Ivie, WSL research and statistics librarian, at thomas.ivie@wyo.gov or 307-777-6330. Other questions about Wyoming’s school libraries or requests for assistance may be directed to Paige Bredenkamp, WSL’s school library consultant, at paige.bredenkamp@wyo.gov or 307-777-6331.
