Online Conference for Current and Aspiring Library Directors

Calling all current and aspiring library directors! You’re invited to the free, online Connections Summit: Directors Edition conference from June 11-13. Each day has content dedicated to specific types of libraries:

  • Public Libraries: Tuesday, June 11, 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m. MDT
  • Academic Libraries: Wednesday, June 12, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MDT
  • Special Libraries: Thursday, June 13, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. MDT

What can you expect? There will be fast-paced sessions averaging 15 minutes per session featuring multiple presenters during the broadcast. This year’s Connections Summit will feature a number of thought-leaders and subject matter experts including:

  • Adrian Gostick, New York Times best-selling author speaking on how to create and motivate high performing teams
  • Peter Bromberg, Director of Salt Lake City Public Library on how to go fine-free
  • John Chrastka, Founder of EveryLibrary.org on how to fund your next idea
  • David Lee King, Library Tech Guru, on influential tech trends shaping the future of libraries

Other notable speakers include library marketer Angela Hursh, Bonnie S. Postlethwaite on a way to go fine-free on campus, and Richard Hulser on working in special libraries in a gig economy and more.
