NNLM MCR Community Engagement Awards
DEADLINE: February 17, 2020
The National Network of Libraries of Medicine MidContinental Region anticipates having up to $15,000 available for an award late in its fiscal year, which ends in April. Proposals will need to be capable of being completed in a tight time frame and must include plans for evaluating the effectiveness of the project. Plans should incorporate the use of National Library of Medicine resources such as MedlinePlus wherever appropriate. Projects should aim at completing one or more of the following objectives: 1) expanding the reach of training opportunities for library staff in health information, 2) creating and offering library programs, projects and strategic interventions in support of the NNLM mission to broaden access to health information, and/or 3) conducting planning that helps libraries and/or community-based organizations deliver consumer health information to communities.

The Virginia Hamilton and Arnold Adoff Creative Outreach Grants for Teachers and Librarians
DEADLINE: February 28, 2020
The Virginia Hamilton and Arnold Adoff Creative Outreach Grants for Teachers and Librarians awards two grants of up to $1,000 each. One grant is given to a teacher and another to a librarian for proposals to develop new classroom or library programs that raise awareness of multicultural literature among young people; particularly but not exclusively through the works of Virginia Hamilton.

Placemaking Farm Wall Grants
DEADLINE: February 28, 2020
The Wyoming Business Council and the Department of Agriculture are offering grants to place a vertical Farm Wall in your community for two years. Bio-Logic Designs will lease, install, plant, maintain, harvest and distribute produce to a local soup kitchen or food basket. Or you can harvest the produce for your own use. The grant match is $600 plus partnering with Bio-Logic to provide education, actively engaging your community through events, press releases, tours or classes.

Rocky Mountain Branch of the International Dyslexia Associations’ Assistive Technology Grant
DEADLINE: March 1, 2020
Funds assistive technology projects that allow students who struggle with reading, writing, spelling, and math to stay on track with their grade-level peers. The whole school community (teachers, parents, and students) should have access to the technology and be properly trained and supported in its use. Typical award amounts up to $3,500, but additional amounts may be considered, depending on the proposal.

Wyoming Arts Council Community Support Grant
DEADLINE: April 1, 2020
The Community Support Grant (CSG) is a competitive grant program for project and/or operational support for organizations that provide services to their community through the arts. An organization is eligible to receive up to $20,000 in operating and project support (up to $12,000), arts education activities ($5,000), professional development ($1,000), programs involving folk and traditional arts (up to $1,000), outreach to rural communities (up to $1,000). Applicants who did not receive this grant last year may submit a draft for WAC staff review by March 1.

American Heritage Center Travel Grants
DEADLINE: April 1, 2020
The American Heritage Center annually offers travel grants of up to $750 each to provide support for travel, food and lodging to carry out research using the AHC’s collections.

Sara Jaffarian School Library Program Award
DEADLINE: May 4, 2020
The Sara Jaffarian School Library Program Award for Exemplary Humanities Programming recognizes excellence in humanities programming in libraries that serve children in grades K-8. The $5,000 award is presented annually by the American Library Association (ALA) Public Programs Office in cooperation with the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). Applicants do not need to be AASL members.
