The program planning committee for the upcoming Wyoming Library Association annual conference will open its call for proposals on April 1.
The Wyoming Library Association resumes its annual conference in-person on September 28-30, 2022, at the Clarion Inn at Platte River in Casper. After two years of meeting virtually for the annual conference, the committee is looking forward to learning and growing face-to-face. Wyoming libraries have dealt with unique circumstances recently from pandemic response to the fight for intellectual freedom. This conference will encourage attendees in the important work done by libraries and librarians in trying times. It will provide tools and resources to equip staff to represent the needs of their entire communities — reminding us that we are truly Stronger Together.
Topics might include dealing with post-pandemic budgets, technology changes, burnout, hybrid or innovative programming, and other challenges and opportunities. Other pertinent topics might be equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice; and those related to intellectual freedom. Can you share your knowledge with your colleagues? Host an interactive workshop. Lead a discussion about best practices? Your idea for a program could be one to help make this year’s conference great!
Program proposals will be accepted April 1 through May 16. Consider how best to deliver your information, and begin crafting your proposal. Visit www.wyla.org to submit your proposal by May 16.
