Happy Solar Eclipse Day!
Although Wyoming isn’t in the path of totality this time around, we Wyomingites can still get a glimpse of the partial eclipse that will be visible today beginning at approximately 11:30 a.m. and ending shortly before 2:00 p.m. Find more information about the maximum viewing time here.
Be sure to use safe viewing practices including using approved by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), or an indirect viewing method such as pinhole projection. Read more about how to view the eclipse safely here.
Don’t miss out! The next solar eclipses visible from North America are predicted to occur about twenty years from now in 2044 and 2025.
However you decide to celebrate this historic astronomical event, have fun and be safe!
