Celebrate Innovation on National Trading Card Day

Feb 24, 2026

It’s National Trading Card Day! Trading cards are fun to collect and are a great way to play games with friends or learn more about your favorite athletes and game characters, but did you know you can also learn about famous inventors from them?

The Inventor Collectible Trading Card Series is available on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office website, and they are a fun way to learn about the history of innovation, as well as inspire and encourage the innovators of the future.

In addition to these engaging and informative resources, there are Patent and Trademark Resource Centers (PTRC) throughout each region of the United States. In fact, the Wyoming State Library (WSL) is a PTRC, and has an extensive online patent and trademark database!

Visit the WSL’s website for more information about Wyoming inventors, patents, and trademarks, or contact Anne Kuipers, WSL State Publications Librarian, for help with questions regarding the PTRC.
