Judy Scott retired from Weston County Library after 20 years as adult services librarian. She began working at Weston County Library in February of 1996. “I regret leaving my beloved job,” Judy said, “but am sincerely looking forward to the future.” She plans on staying in Newcastle and spending more time with her children and grandchildren in Gillette and in Helena, Mont. She was honored with a retirement party at the library on July 29.
Lily Draper, Library Assistant for Children’s Services at the Riverton Branch Library since 2013 has resigned her position to pursue a career at the Department of Family Services. Lily was a unique and energetic force at the library. She was loved by the kids and their parents for her positive attitude and creativity. She implemented and led theater workshops for students and was instrumental in organizing the library’s Halloween play, which she wrote and directed. She also wrote and directed the national award winning video “The Devil Reads Nada”, that was awarded a $2,500 prize from TEI/Landmark. “We will miss her upbeat and vivacious personality here at the library,” said Gloria Brodle, branch manager.

Patty Norris retired from her position as library clerk at the Goshen County Library after 33 years. During her time with the library, Patty served as the children’s librarian, book sale organizer, and periodical manager. Patty and her husband, Gene, are planning to travel, tend their garden, and spend time with their grandchildren. Patty has also agreed to volunteer at the book sales- just to keep her toes in the fun![/ezcol_1half_end]
