Paul Goodson, who serves as Legislative & Research Librarian at the Wyoming State Library, will have a second opportunity to present his research on the history of the 1941 Cheyenne Indians minor league baseball team. Paul will be the featured speaker at the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of American Baseball Researchers (SABR) chapter meeting on Saturday, June 25th at Breckinridge Brewery (across from Coors Field in Denver).

Goodson is excited to present this material to a wider audience. According to Goodson “SABR members are all baseball geeks like myself, so they really enjoy discussing this type of research”. There will be some added new material is this second presentation. The additions come courtesy of Bob Pickett who attended the first presentation at the State Museum. Pickett is the youngest son of 1941 Indians club President John Pickett and provided a copy of his father’s memoirs to Goodson at the conclusion of his presentation. John Pickett’s recollections of the Indians team have contributed some new insights into the events surrounding their existence here in Cheyenne.
