Pat Carterette Professional Development Grant
DEADLINE: February 15, 2018
The American Library Association’s (ALA) Learning Round Table (LRT) will award up to $1,000 to an individual to attend a professional development event between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019. The award recipient will be required to share their new learning with other Round Table members in some way (newsletter, blog, list serve, etc.). Applicants do not have to be ALA members to apply. Interested persons may apply by completing the brief online questionnaire.

Lola Homsher Research Grant
DEADLINE: February 28, 2018
The Wyoming State Historical Society offers cash grants to people involved in research activities based on various aspects of the state’s history. Grants range from $100 up to
$1500. Proposals must include a statement of purpose, an explanation of the project, the value to Wyoming history and a description of how the public will benefit from the research.

Talk Story: Sharing Stories, Sharing Culture
DEADLINE: March 1, 2018

Talk Story is a literacy program that reaches out to Asian Pacific American (APA) and American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN) children and their families. The program celebrates and explores APA and AIAN stories through books, oral traditions, and art to provide an interactive, enriching experience. Children and their families can connect to rich cultural activities through Talk Story in their homes, libraries, and communities. This grant is aimed to give financial support to libraries and community organizations who want to introduce a Talk Story program.

Carol McMurry Library Endowment Individual Grants for Continuing Education
DEADLINE: March 31, 2018
Want to attend a conference or workshop to build your library skills? Take an online course? Start working toward that library media specialist endorsement or master’s degree in library science? Funds are available to those working or volunteering in Wyoming libraries through the Carol McMurry Library Endowment Individual Grants for Continuing Education. Applications are accepted six times during the year. The next deadline is March 31 for continuing education events starting no earlier than May 1.

Wyoming Arts Council Community Support Grants
DEADLINE: April 1, 2018
This grant is specifically designed for project and/or operational support for organizations that provide services to their community through the arts. Grants available in 5 categories: operating and project support (up to $12,000), arts education activities (up to $5,000), professional development (up to $1,000), programs involving folk artists (up to $1,000), and outreach to rural communities (up to $1,000). Each organization is eligible for a total of up to $20,000. Application opens February 1, 2018; all projects must take place July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

Carol McMurry Library Endowment Grants to Libraries
DEADLINE: June 15, 2018
These grants provide support to Wyoming librarians and publicly accessible Wyoming libraries in three areas: education and training, library resources, and library foundation development.
