Judy Yeo (1937-2013)

Judy YeoJudith Louise Yeo, 75, lost a courageous battle with breast cancer on July 12. She passed away as a home hospice patient and was with family members.

She was born Nov. 3, 1937, in Wendell, Idaho.

She graduated from Jerome High School in May 1955. She attended the College of Idaho and CSU, where she graduated with a B.S. in June 1959. While at CSU, she married Don on Oct. 3, 1959.

Judy started her professional career after raising three children. She attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a master’s degree in August 1990.

Judy was a librarian at the Wyoming State Library for more than 20 years retiring in 2001.

Judy lived life to its fullest. She was a people person and loved music. She sang with the Capitol Chorale Choir, loved to line dance, was a master gardener, volunteered at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and loved working in her home garden. She enjoyed ushering at the Civic Center.

We will miss her infectious laughter and smile.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee; and her son, Aaron Lee Yeo.

She is survived by her husband, Don; son, Chet Yeo (Lori); daughter, Julie Harrington (Ryan); sister, Sally Arias; brothers, John Lee (Luann) and Martin Lee (Sue); mother, Helen Lee; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made to the Aaron Lee Yeo Memorial Scholarship Fund at UW or the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.
