Sheridan, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1995, these stockings were two in a series of 20 novelty stockings based around various shoes. Patent No. D394229 “Holiday Pet Stocking” This 1998 patent was intended for all those pampered pets out there. Although most likely not inventor Jon Kevin Curry’s intention, it could also work well for pet-obsessed humans as well. |
Patent No. D560549 “Flip Flop Holiday Stocking” This stocking may not be seasonal for our nippy winters. However, for inventor Brian Keith Watson, this flip flop stocking is perfect for his Florida locale. Patented in 2008, this stocking would be perfect for holiday vacationers. |
Patent No. D836485 “German Shepherd Christmas Stocking” Patented by Maria Lynne Mapolor and Robert Kenneth King II in 2018, this German shepherd stocking is one in a collection of dog themed stockings patented by the duo. Their design patents range from golden retrievers to chihuahuas. |
Patent No. D393017 “Bubble Blowing Santa Claus” This Santa bubble blower patented in 1998 would make a great stocking stuffer for those looking for classic toys. Patented by Sally Bhandhugravi and Mary Butcher, this duo also patented two other Christmas-themed bubble blowers. |
Patent No. D800603 “Santa Drone” Patented in 2017 by Kelly Curl of California, this Santa Clause drone allows any interested party the opportunity to imitate Santa’s journey. Perhaps Santa himself utilizes a few of these to help deliver presents in hard to reach areas. |
