Interim Dean Lori Phillips presents Associate Librarian Jenny Garcia with the Bernice M. Hetzner Award

Congratulations to Jenny Garcia, Associate Librarian in Research and Instruction Servies, on receiving the Bernice M. Hetzner Award for Excellence in Academic Health Science Librarianship.

The award, given by the Midcontinental Chapter of the Medical Library Association, recognizes an academic health sciences librarian who has achieved a high level of professional accomplishment.

In her nomination of Jenny, Interim Dean Lori Phillips cited Jenny’s dedication and effectiveness in working with UW’s College of Health Sciences. Phillips said, “Her commitment to educating students, supporting faculty in health sciences, and providing leadership as a librarian is tremendous.”
