The Wyoming State Library (WSL) will host its sixteenth annual Wyoming Snapshot Day during the week of October 12-16, 2026. This virtual event will celebrate the important impact Wyoming’s libraries have on their communities to their stakeholders and the greater Wyoming community. All Wyoming libraries are invited to submit photos of their patrons, staff, facilities, and resources, as well as comments from patrons and staff. Content shared during the weeklong celebration will be published on the WSL’s social media channels and utilized by the WSL throughout the year.
“All Wyoming libraries, regardless of their type, are invited to share their photos and comments with us,” said Christi Weinzierl, WSL Communications and Grants Specialist. “Public, academic, school, institutional, and special libraries all impact their communities by providing essential resources and services to the patrons in their communities, and we want to help spread the word about the important roles they play.”
This year, each library can choose any day during the week of Wyoming Snapshot Day to send in their photos or comments. Wyoming Snapshot Day is a project of the WSL in conjunction with the Wyoming Library Association and continues to showcase the positive impact Wyoming libraries have on their communities every single day.
